This area is surrounded by interesting areas with plenty to do. Camden High Street has many restaurants and shops, with a nearby cluster of Greek restaurants and also some Portuguese ones. The busy Camden market and shops are 15 min away.
The area south of the estate is called Sommerstown and is a quiet residential area with some playgrounds, a Mexican art gallery and local pubs/restaurants closer to Euston Road;
The new development area of Kings Cross is 15 min away and offers plenty of restaurants, shops, and activities. We recommend going through St Pancras Gardens and crossing the canal bridge to Coal Drops Yard.
There are some interesting public spaces in the area. The main one is Regents Park with beautiful green areas, sports facilities, playgrounds and a Zoo. But there are also smaller parks namely Oakley Square (just outside the estate), Camley Street Park, and the Regents Canal.
It is easy to walk down to London's central areas such as Bloomsbury and Fitzrovia (20/30min walk). In Bloomsbury, we recommend Brunswick Center, Marchmont Street, Lambs Conduit Street and Coram's Fields, in addition to the famous Russel Square and British Museum. In Fitzrovia, the main streets are Tottenham Court Road and Charlotte Street but there are several nice places to walk around.
To further discover London heritage, you can also visit several museums like the British Museum, the Natural History Museum, the Victoria & Albert Museum, the Science Museum, and Leighton House Museum, all located within just a few minutes by walk or public transport.
